How to install and run NitrOS9 EOU with an RTC
A new video has been posted and added to the “Videos” page of this site showing how to download, install and run the latest NitrOS9 EOU (Ease of Use) edition, including setting it to default to RGB, 80 columns, and use a hardware emulated real-time clock (RTC).
You’ll want to go to the Utilities and Downloads menu and get the latest EOU edition
Then go to the CoCo 3 menu and fire up the CoCo 3 with HDBDOS, 2MB and EOU
The first boot will boot you to a 40 column composite screen
Type in swapboot from the terminal prompt and choose option 3
It will bring you back to a BASIC prompt
Type DRIVE OFF or DRIVE 1 OFF to turn off any DriveWire mounted disks
Type DOS to boot back in to EOU with all the fixings. From this point forward the CoCo 3 EOU menu option will auto boot to this RGB/RTC mode. Enjoy!
