General Availability Of Color FLEX 5.0:4 for CoCo-Pi
Michael Furman has provided the CoCo community with a working version of Frank Hogg’s Color FLEX operating system available for XRoar and, more recently, MAME.

To make this work with MAME patches were required to the CoCo’s FDC hardware emulation:

I have backported this patch to MAME-0.254 (the last version that works with the current CoCo-Pi distribution).
The current versions of XRoar already support the ability to run FLEX.
You will find a new CoCo 2 menu option for XRoar and MAME (TRS-80 Color Computer 2 w/FLEX).
When updating your CoCo-Pi, please make sure to select “Update CoCo-Pi from git repo” and “Run CoCo-Pi fix script” in order for all the changes to be applied. Install the latest MAME package (from the same menu). Select mame-0.254-furman-1 as the default version.
