CoCo-Pi Project Update (2026-01-23)
Just a quick update. Doing my best to get a release out soon. I was targeting end of this month, but went a new direction with the old console based menu system that long time users of CoCo-Pi are familiar with. It was getting too difficult to maintain numerous bash scripts (many with duplicate code). I have been experimenting with a python/curses based approach using json configuration files. Really allows for great flexibility, maintainability, etc..

Very easy to navigate and adds things like showing you command line being used, pyDriveWire status, etc..
The json files being used can allow for an actual GUI based menu as well.
I’eve been testing this on the Raspberry Pi, a couple of different x64 based PC’s and even under WSL in Windows 11. Same code/framework works with all of them.
In any case, I’ve been focused on the emulator launching menus and will be moving on to the Utility menus.
